A Ghost Story

Firstly, thank you to my friend Dominic Jenkinson for recommending this little niche film that didn't really make UK cinema release. Hence why I hadn't heard of it.

It stars Casey Affleck (brother of Ben Affleck), who was brilliant in Manchester by the sea. This is a completely different type of film though.

The story is that Casey Afflecks character is happily sharing a house with his girlfriend until all of a sudden tragedy strikes and he is killed in a car crash.

He spends the rest of the movie as a sheet covered ghost with two holes for the eyes, like kids do at halloween.

It's sad as he has to watch as his true love and everything about his life fades away. However it is also a ridiculously slow film with an ending so annoying and dissapointing that you end up feeling very frustrated with the time you invested in the movie to get to that point.

The critics have raved about this movie and it isn't awful but it also isn't brilliant either. Nothing much happens and that is the problem. Not bad but not great, a very average 3 stars.
