Fargo: Classic film making, classic movie!
Firstly I want to thank my friend Dominic Jenkinson for recommending this disturbing twisted film. Fargo was filmed in 1996 and stars top actors such as Steve Buscemi, William H. Macy, Peter Stormare, Frances McDormand and John Carroll Lynch. It states at the start of the film that it's based on a true story which makes it even more disturbing. A quick Google though reveals it takes elements from real life rather than based on a true story however it makes it exciting to see that stated at the start of the film.
Expertly directed by the very famous Coen brothers, who recently assisted with the George Clooney movie Suburbicon, it stars Frances McDormand who plays Marge Gunderson, a pregnant police chief who is tasked with investigating a multiple homicide. This is all because Jerry Lundegaard (William H.Macy) decides to arrange the kidnapping of his wife for money!
It is strange seeing William in this film, as I remember him from hilarious comedy Wild Hogs where he starred with Tim Allen amongst others, but that's another story. Anyway this is an epic murder/crime drama that if you haven't seen, you should. Thank you again Dom for recommending this one. Five stars easily.
