The Greatest Showman. Just....Spectacular!

Firstly, let me start by saying I am not overkeen on musicals and I have seen a few. I thought La La Land and Hairspray whilst not being awful were very average, however I thought Mamma Mia was exceptional. But then, I am a massive fan of Abba!

However I am an enormous fan of Hugh Jackman. From Wolverine to Logan and more, every film he's been in has been epic. Add in Zac Efron in to my knowledge his first musical since High School Musical and you have what is simply an incredible combination.

It's inspired by the imagination of P.T Barnum and it's simply astounding. Parts of the movie brought tears to my eyes because of how much it moved me and parts made me applaud at how spectacular the acts and the singing was.

Hugh Jackman plays Barnum, a guy full of imagination who hires outcasts of society and turns them into a stage show. The results are simply spectacular from the beginnings, to when Barnum becomes successful and more. I can't say anymore because it would give away the story.

So let me just say I'm still in a daze of wonder at how astounding and moving and simply brilliant this movie is. I realise technically in the UK this movie came out on boxing day but I haven't seen it until 2018 and for me this will be hard to beat as one of the greatest films of the year. If they were giving out the Oscars for best movie right now, toss a coin between the Greatest Showman and Dunkirk.

Captain America Civil War you are no longer in my top ten movies of all time as the Greatest Showman goes straight in at number 5 just behind Pulp Fiction in my top ten movies list. This is a film everyone needs to see and if you aren't moved by this there is something seriously wrong. Wow. Just, wow. 5 stars awarded, see it now!
